Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimović has apologised to the fans after he got an automatic one-match suspension as he picked a fifth yellow card against Swansea City and won’t be able to play in the much important match against Arsenal after the international break.
Ibra scored a brace against Swansea as United defeated them 3-1. Ibra was cautioned by the referee after a rough tackle on Swansea midfielder Leroy Fer.
Ibra said, “I’m sorry I am suspended for the next game. I wish I wasn’t as it’s a game I really wanted to play in.
“Every time I try to play my game by being strong, and going into the tackles, or whatever it is, I get a yellow card… In England, the football is hard, it’s physical.
“United climb to the sixth place with 18 points and now will face Arsenal who have lost only a single match in this season.”
