Manchester United have been rocked by another injury as Marouane Fellaini has been sent back to Manchester from Belgium camp after he was detected with a calf injury. The midfielder who played full 90 minutes against Swansea will miss the next two matches of Belgium.
Jose Mourinho already had a number of players injured and now Fellaini has handed Mourinho a major concern before the Arsenal match. The midfielder will undergo a number of tests to determine the severity of his injury. He has been a key part of Mourinho’s side and has appeared nine times in the Premier League this season.
Belgium manager Roberto Martinez confirmed the 28-year old’s injury, “Fellaini picked up an injury against Swansea City and will go back to his club, We have a core of 24 players which is enough.”
It is getting rather hard for Mourinho who has only a few players as backup. If Fellaini doesn’t get fit on time either Michael Carrick or Bastian Schweinsteiger could be introduced to the Starting lineup as the even though the latter is yet to play a match in this season.
