Manchester United have told Inter Milan that they must have to pay at least £19m if they want to sign Matteo Darmian which is a clear intent that want to block Inter’s advances for the player.
Darmian was signed from Torino in a £12.5million deal in last year but he has failed to break into the first eleven in this season as Antonio Valencia has emerged as the first choice right back for Jose Mourinho. The 26-year old who can also play as a makeshift right back is reportedly unhappy and wants a move back to The Serie A.
Inter Milan are very keen in the Italian international and have been negotiating a deal with United. Their recent turmoil forced their owner to think of some alternate options. The Nerazzurri are ready to take him on loan with an option to buy him back.
But a recent injury to Antonio Valencia has changed the equations. Jose Mourinho is currently short of defenders and will reportedly block any move for the Azzurri.
Darmian made his first Premier League start of the season against Burnley and will continue to be in the starting lineup as Antonio Valencia has been sidelined due to a hand fracture.
