Manchester United are tracking Bayern Munich left-back David Alaba. Jose Mourinho is very adamant to add reinforcements to bolster his defence. The Portuguese is not very impressed with either Luke Shaw or Daley Blind and had recently criticised Shaw publicly.
United have been defensively shaky this season and have already conceded 14 goals.
Alaba recently extended his contract in March up to five years. The versatile player is also capable 0f playing in the midfield. The 24-year-old captained Austria in the Euro 2016 and has been one of the most consistent players for Bayern Munich.
Alaba currently earns a £75,000 per week and United could offer him a better wage should he chose to join the Red Devils. Manchester City have also expressed their interest in the player as Pep Guardiola is very keen to bring his old player to Etihad Stadium.
The Austrian is a very good passer of the ball and has pace that could be a big advantage. He has thrived under new manager Carlo Ancelotti and would be a great addition to United.
