Yaya Toure has ordered his agent Dimitri Seluk to apologise to Pep Guardiola for his remarks. The City midfielder hasn’t featured in this season but is very keen to return.
Dimitri Seluk had blasted Guardiola for not including his client in the Champions League squad. Guardiola had demanded an apology earlier from his agent and clarified that Toure would not be able to play till his agent apologised.
Earlier Toure was linked with a number of clubs including Arsenal as his contract is set to expire at the end of this season and he will be able to sign a pre-contract with any clubs.
The Ivorian midfielder who joined City from Barcelona in 2010 issued an apology on Facebook, “I wish to apologise – on behalf of myself and those who represent me – to the management team and all those working at the club for the misunderstandings from the past.
“Those statements do not represent my views on the club or the people who work there. I have nothing but respect for Manchester City and only wish the best for the football club.
“I am immensely proud to have played a part in the club’s history and want to help City succeed further. I live to play football and entertain the fans,” he wrote.
