Manchester City are leading the race to sign Schalke left back Sead Kolasinac. The defender’s contract is scheduled to expire at the end of this season a new contract hasn’t been offered on behalf of the club.
Gael Clichy and Aleksandar Kolarov are right now City’s two options on the left side of defence. Clichy is 31 and has been very injury prone while Kolarov has been mainly playing in the heart of City defence.
The 23-year-old Bosnia-Herzegovina international has been in impressive form this season as he already recorded three assists to his name. Schalke would love to cash in on the player who can also play as a centre-back.
Liverpool are also very eager to have the player at Anfield. James Milner is right now playing as the first choice left-back and Klopp knows that Liverpool won’t be able to sustain much in the long league run without a proper left back. Klopp is not impressed with Alberto Moreno and is ready to make move for the Bosnian defender.
