Arsene Wenger has admitted that Granit Xhaka needs to adapt according to the situation. Xhaka was signed by Arsenal from Borussia Monchengladbach for a fee of £34m. The midfielder has only started seven times this season and started from the bench against Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
The Swiss international has got a disciplinary problem and has the knack of picking unnecessary cards. He already got his first red card against Swansea and had been cautioned by the manager earlier.
Wenger said, “He needs to adapt, then we need to find the balance.
“We have the positional play, he plays in a deeper lying midfield position, he passes through the lines.
“He needs to adapt to the way we play and the tactical pace of the English game. I am confident he will do very well.
“If you look at Thierry Henry at the start when he came here, he was not playing. He did not play until November, he was as well 23 years old. We are in November now.”
