Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne hit out at Jose Mourinho saying that Leaving Chelsea was obvious.
De Bruyne has made just nine appearances under Mourinho before moving to Werder Bremen on loan. The Belgian midfielder was signed from Genk for fee of £6.7m but failed to really made an impact for The Blues as he wasn’t given enough chances to do so by then manager Jose Mourinho.
De Bruyne’s stellar performance forced Manchester City to splash a staggering £55m for the 25-year-old.
He revealed, “I’ve no idea and I don’t care [why he never convinced Mourinho],” he said. “I waited four months, then I said to myself that wanted to play football every week.”
“I couldn’t get the game time I wanted, so leaving was the obvious choice.
He has flourished under new Man City manager Pep Guardiola. He single handedly almost demolished Barcelona in the last match which City won 3-1.
He praised Pep’s ability as a manager and said, “It’s his eye for detail that counts.
“Before a game he’ll be really quiet: he does his meetings a couple of hours before the match, and then we are doing stuff on our own. By then, everybody knows what we need to do.
“He was a player himself so he’s very good at knowing the balance of when to joke and when to be serious,” he added.
