Distributed the ball well and contributed defensively whenever needed. A mistake in passing made Real pay but he’s a human after all. Decent performance from the Croat.
CM : Matteo Kovacic – 6.5/10
Controlled the play and looked composed and comfortable. Kovacic looks to be improving as days go by.
CAM : James Rodriquez – 5.5/10
Another below par performance. Needs to start delivering and impress his manager otherwise, he’s a huge risk to lose his place again.
RW : Lucas Vazquez – 7/10
Won a penalty in the first half and did come close to adding to Real’s tally but couldn’t manage it.
LW : Cristiano Ronaldo – 8.5/10
Smoothly converted the penalty and got into a good position to head the ball and grab his second. Couldn’t get the hat-trick but another wonderful performance from the forward.
ST : Karim Benzema – 5.5/10
Didn’t contribute anything, neither creatively for other teammates nor himself. Needs to improve without a doubt.
