John Obi Mikel could leave Chelsea in January, according to reports. The midfielder hasn’t featured for a single minute this season for the Blues.
The Nigerian midfielder is currently in his 10th season for the blues. In his stint, he has won two Premier League titles, one Champions League, One Europa League and much more.
The player has been frozen out by Antonio Conte who has been preferring N”Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic in the centre of midfield. Marseille could be a possible destination for the midfielder but he has to cut down his salary if he wants to join the club. Mikel currently earns €4 m per season at Chelsea and Marseille won’t be able to afford that.
The midfielder is in good form in this season as he helped his country to a 3-1 win over Algeria in a World Cup Qualifier. Some Chinese clubs might be interested in the player as they can match his current salary.
