Antonio Conte has confirmed that John Terry will miss a couple of weeks. Terry didn’t feature against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Chelsea skipper has been enduring a difficult season. He recently recovered from an ankle ligament injury after being sidelined for at least two months. Terry reportedly injured his muscle and will also miss matches against Manchester City and West Bromwich Albion.
Terry’s only appearance came in the EFL Cup loss against West Ham United. Conte confirmed Terry’s injury, “John has a problem with a gluteal muscle.
“Maybe two, three weeks. I’m not sure if the injury was during the game for the U23s or the day after. But that’s not important. The bad news is now he’s injured.
‘It is frustrating for him but now it’s important for John to recover from his injury.
“Then start a good training session and to have a good form. It’s a pity because he recovered very well from his last injury. Now he needs to stop again.”
