Midfield
Andy Halliday should start in defensive midfield after impressing at the base of the midfield trio in recent weeks. The Scotsman is brilliant defensively and displays great energy on the pitch.
On the top of that, he is not goal shy and once again found the back of the net against Killie last week.
Even though Joey Barton’s suspension was lifted by Rangers this week, Halliday has deservedly established himself as the first-choice at the base of midfield.
Jason Holt and Josh Windass were brilliant against Kilmarnock last week with their energy, tenacity and industry. Those two are likely to start as the two box to box midfielders.
Attack
Joe Garner started up front last week and got himself a goal. The Englishman should keep his place as the number nine.
Kenny Miller is likely to start on the left flank. Michael O’Halloran was brilliant on the right flank last week and deserves to keep his place.
