Noble (7.5/10)- A wave of assurance and composure returned to the West Ham midfield with Noble’s return. He played with diligence and discipline throughout the game making it difficult for United to have more possession.
Antonio (8/10)- His performance improved with time in the game. He was found dragging his shots and embarking on mazy runs in the first half. But in the second half, he was too good to be stopped.
Obiang (7/10)- He played well alongside Noble and used his physique nicely in the midfield battle. Won 4 of his 7 tackles and had 3 successful interceptions. With the likes of Pogba and Fellaini in the midfield, his job was pretty tough.
Lanzini (7/10)- The new recruit has often shown his sharpness in front of goal this season, but today was not one of those days. He looked blunt and caused the little problem to Darmian. He managed 9 attacking third passes, though.
Payet (8/10)- He was a threat from the very start when the whistle was blown. It was his dangerous cross that led to West Ham taking the lead. Made 11 attacking third passes, had an assist and had 2 successful take-ons.
Sakho (8/10)- Scored the goal early on in the game to maintain the pressure on United and that was pretty much it for him. West Ham remained on the back foot throughout the game. He plundered an opener in the 90-second mark and was subbed off in the 65th minute.
