Tottenham Hotspur’s performance in the two halves were highly contrasting as the North-London outfit’s second half performance was quite underwhelming as compared to the first half where they dominated the majority of it. Christian Eriksen gave Tottenham the lead in the 11th minute of the game with a wonderful strike but his goal was cancelled out by an equally magnificent strike from Pedro.
Moses gave Chelsea the lead seven minutes into the second half. Chelsea managed to hold on it to take all three points from this game.
Below are Tottenham Hotspur’s individual player ratings from their loss to Chelsea.
Hugo Lloris: 7.5/10
Hugo Lloris did really well between the sticks but couldn’t have done much about the two goals from Chelsea.
Kyle Walker: 7.5/10
Walker did quite well offensively but was often caught out of position a few times by Hazard although most of the time he was able to atone for his mistakes.
Eric Dier: 7.5/10
Dier did well to smother Costa for space in the first half but as the second half progressed he failed to keep the lid tight on Chelsea’s front players.
Jan Vertonghen: 8/10
The Belgian had a good game but struggled with little defensive assistance from the defenders around him.
Kevin Wimmer: 7.5/10
Kevin Wimmer found it really hard to contain Pedro and Costa. He made a few good tackles but offered very little offensively and couldn’t make runs which put the onus on Son for width creation.
