Xabi Alonso (7/10): Alonso was great in his usual passing play, and build up roles but again, his lack of pace proved out to be a telling factor as the former Real Madrid man could have been a lot quicker to deal with Leverkusen’s buildup which leads to Calhanoglu’s first half equaliser.
Philipp Lahm (7.5/10): Featured as a central midfielder instead of his right back position and the Bayern captain did really well there.
Good in an advanced position, Lahm seems to enjoy his offensive work more than his usual defensive contributions.
Thiago Alcantara (8/10): As always, Thiago was very smart and precise with his gameplay against Leverkusen. A potent figure in Bayern’s transition and build up, the Spanish International also wrapped up a great performance with a close-range header.
Thomas Muller (5/10): Another bad evening for the German international, who just didn’t seem to be in the groove, no matter how hard he tried.
It gets from bad to worse for the 27-year old who is yet to score a single goal in the Bundesliga this campaign.
Robert Lewandowski (6/10): It was a rather tough evening for Lewandowski as well, who was consistently marked by either of Jonathan Tah and Aleksander Dragovic.
His chances were limited in which he couldn’t quite convert.
Douglas Costa (8/10): Unlike his attacking partners, the Brazilian caused a lot of troubles with his sharp movements over the left flank. Easily Bayern’s best-attacking outlet of the night.
