Xhaka (8.5/10)– Wenger definitely needs to play him more. He was a revelation throughout the match. Xhaka is so much more than a brilliant long range shooter.
With Chamberlain, Sanchez, and Walcott, he was able to release them up front repeatedly and with some perfection! He was good on the defense too. Made 3 interceptions and had the most number of successful tackles in both the teams (9). He also provided the most number of passes (47) out of which 12 were in the attacking third.
Elneny (7.5/10)– He too took his time to settle but there are plenty of areas which he can get better at. He was reluctant at times and gave away the ball cheaply. But he has pretty much used his physique wisely and was good when passing up front.
He made 11 attacking third passes. Needs to stop mistiming his tackle.
Walcott (7.5/10)– He had malaise of poor, very poor and decent performance today. His goal was really good as he had to find an open space from two bodies guarding the post.
Apart from that, he miscued many chances in the final stages of the first half and it continued in the second half.
Ozil (8/10)– He always has an impact against the Cherries and this time was no different. Produced some mouth-watering crosses inside the D-box and was really unlucky not to register an assist.
He was fouled the most number of times and provided 22 attacking third passes. His link-up play with Sanchez is the talk of the season.
Sanchez (9.5/10)– Scorer, defender, playmaker- This guy is a machine with unparalleled stamina. He was everywhere and was undoubtedly the toughest player to stop for the Bournemouth defence. His goalpost-rattling thunderous strike in the first half pretty much set the pace.
A real poacher, the Chilean grabbed two goals and attempted 4 shots on target. Arsenal better work out his contract and fast!
Chamberlain (8/10)– Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain flanked with Theo Walcott looked like an action packed forward lineup for the Gunners and he lived up to his expectations. His defensive contribution was way more than Walcott and made 11 attacking third passes from the left flank.
He is hugely underutilised at Arsenal as the Englishman can play in almost any position and live up to the expectations.
Giroud (8/10)– He was introduced a bit earlier in the attacking line for a change this time and he grabbed an assist in the dying minutes to kill the game for Arsenal. A towering figure up front, he was always helpful for Ozil and Sanchez to play atop.
Ramsey (7.5/10)– He came on with Giroud and produced a gem of a pass from the midfield, which was just a bit too far for Giroud. Despite coming in late, he still managed to push in 7 attacking third passes.
