Inter Milan have joined the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti. Verratti reportedly had an argument with manager Unai Emery after he was taken off after 59 minutes in a goalless draw with Marseille earlier.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Juventus are also interested in the midfielder but Inter seem to be the favourites to land the defender. The Serie A side spent heavily on summer but failed to get the necessary result. They lost to Sampdoria 1-0 and pressure has been mounting on manager Frank De Boer.
Arsenal haven’t offered a new contract to Santi Cazorla and the Spanish Midfielder might leave with reports coming that Juventus are very interested in the midfielder. Verratti could be an ideal replacement of the Spaniard although they already signed Granit Xhaka in this summer. Arsenal who are having a wonderful season would be boosted by the addition of the Italian.
The Italian midfielder is regarded one of the best midfielders of this era with his acute passing and ball playing ability. An offer of £58.5m is imminent in the upcoming transfer window which could also see Marcelo Brozovic and Geoffrey Kondogbia move to the French side as a part of the deal.
Verratti recently said that he wants to remain at the club as he is very keen to win a Champions League with PSG. Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also keeping a tab on the midfielder’s situation.
