Arsene Wenger feels that the absence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be a boon in disguise for Manchester United as Marcus Rashford can be a threat to the Arsenal defence.
Wenger’s memory is still fresh how the teenager almost singlehandedly destroyed them on his Premier League debut. The teenager scored a brace and set up another goal to hand his side a 3-2 win over the North Londoners.
Zlatan will be on the sidelines as he is serving an automatic suspension for getting five yellow cards. There is a doubt over Wayne Rooney’s availability after he was photographed in a drunken condition.
Wenger sounded very cautious, “Let’s not forget the guy who killed us last year was Rashford. He took us completely by surprise.
“I watched him against the Danish team in midweek, and thought straight away he could be dangerous. But he took everybody by surprise.”
Both teams will be without a few key players. Arsenal will have to play without Hector Bellerin while United will miss Eric Bailly, Antonio Valencia and Chris Smalling.
