Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen thinks Arsenal’s attacking display will help Tottenham Hotspur play their natural game. Arsenal will take on Spurs on Sunday in the high voltage North London derby at The Emirates.
Spurs have been winless in their last five games including a 2-1 loss at the hands of Liverpool in the EFL Cup. Spurs will take on Bayer Leverkusen this Wednesday in the Champions League and a win will boost their morale before the much anticipated game. Arsenal are on a roll as they haven’t lost a match since their 4-3 loss to Liverpool on the opening day of this season.
Vertonghen believes that Arsenal’s style of play could be a boon in disguise for them, “It will be a very intense game, with both teams playing very positive, attacking football and I’m looking forward to that game.
“Normally we do well against teams like that. I think the teams we’ve played, like West Brom and Leicester, they play the same way — they sit and they wait for a mistake.
“I think we’ve just been unfortunate. We’ve had some chances and we were unlucky not to take them,” He added.
