Theo Walcott Vs Charlie Daniels
While the Cherries will have high hopes of their attacker on the right flank to make an impact on Sunday, Eddie Howe would be relying on his own left back Charlie Daniels from stopping Arsenal’s right winger Theo Walcott from wreaking havoc in the opposition’s final third.
Theo has been on top of his game this year having already scored 5 and assisting 2 goals which is why Daniels must be strong defensively to counter the threat. The 30-year old left back must also be very careful not to be caught out of position as Arsenal’s right winger has pace which is far superior to his own.
Olivier Giroud Vs Simon Francis
Olivier Giroud has shown that he is the player Arsenal need up front in order to make full use of the kind of football the Gunners are used to playing.
Alexis Sanchez has struggled against a deep defensive line and spends a bit too much time dropping deep trying to get involved with the play while playing as a striker which is why there is no one inside the penalty box when the ball eventually comes in.
With Giroud, this problem gets solved and the Frenchman should be starting the game against Bournemouth. Having scored 6 goals in 5 matches in all competitions, the task of stopping the striker will fall to the experienced Simon Francis.
The 31-year old defender is aerially sound and is also a very good tackler. He would need to be at the top of his game to stop Arsenal’s number 12 from making an impact yet again.
