Chile Coach Juan Antonio Pizzi has praised Alexis Sanchez after the player’s heroic performance that gave Chile a 3-1 win over Uruguay in a World Cup Qualifier match.
Sanchez was absent from Chile’s last match against Columbia due to a muscle injury he sustained in training. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger had warned Chile not to take a risk by fielding him in the starting lineup but Chile coach choose to start him up and he didn’t disappoint his coach as he came up with a superb performance scoring a brace.
Pizzi hailed himself as one of the best players in the world,”Individuals speak for themselves.
“Alexis is among the best players in the world. [But] I am more in favour of emphasising the strengths of the group. And it is what allowed us to turn the game.”
Arsenal will rely a lot on the Chilean when they will face Manchester United later on this week.
