Midfield
Last time playing Pogba up front in the attacking midfield did the trick against Fenerbahce but they would be expecting such a threat this time and will be prepared. With Juan Mata and Wayne Rooney both fit to start, Mourinho is expected to play Mata behind Rooney, who combined have been involved in the most number of goals since Mata joining.
Although Schweinsteiger is back in the squad, United would not be able to use him as he is omitted from the Europa League squad. Hence, we expect Fellaini to start on the bench with Herrera pairing with Pogba in the defensive midfield.
Attack
Anthony Martial is likely to be fit in time to face Fenerbahce. If that happens, Mourinho could start with the Frenchman on left, leaving Lingard on the right flank. After Ibrahimović continued his blunt performance in the weekend missing one from 2 yards out, he is likely to start on the bench. United also has the likes of Memphis Depay as options on the wings but we expect him to start on the bench. Rooney is likely to lead the line.
