3 Tottenham Hotspur Players Who Impressed The Most During The International Break

Tottenham Hotspur are the only unbeaten side in the Premier League this campaign but the fans will not be particularly happy with how their team have fared so far. Spurs have drawn six out of their 11 Premier League games so far which is far from impressive and despite being unbeaten, they are much left behind by the current top four Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal.

So, Spurs were among those teams who desperately needed a break and the fans will hope that their fortunes will turn around once club football resumes from next weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur have not won any of their last seven games in all competitions and are in a difficult position right now in the Champions League too. They need some serious comeback to make the round of 16 in the Premier club competition in Europe.

However, Pochettino will be happy with the fact that some of his players experienced joy during the international break for their respective countries.

Let us have a look at three best performers from Spurs while on international break.

Kyle Walker

Walker has established himself as England’s first-choice right-back in recent times and Pochettino has played a key role behind that.

The way Spurs play, their full-backs have the license to go forward and Walker has excelled in that role. England thrashed their neighbours from the north Scotland in the midweek 3-0 and Walker was one of the best performers for the Three Lions in that win.

The bombarding right-back set up Daniel Sturridge for the opener against the Scots. Walker’s display in the midweek must have brought smiles to the faces of the Spurs fans.
