Clouds are hovering over the future of Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany. According to reports, he could be shown the door as the defender has been struggling to get fit from an injury.
The Belgian defender has fallen to the pecking order and has played only two matches in this season. He was on the bench against a 1-1 draw against Everton.
Guardiola is famous for his player removal strategy. He has earlier done this while he was at Barcelona as he clearly told Ronaldinho, Deco and Ibrahimovic that they were not in his plans. He has done the similar things at City as he loaned out Joe Hart to Torino.
The Belgian has been battling with injury for the past two seasons. City brought in John Stones from Everton at the start of the season to bolster their defence. Kompany did travel to Barcelona but didn’t make it to the squad.
Another player, Sergio Aguero, has been the subject of recent speculation. The Argentine was absent from the starting lineup against Barcelona as Pep started Kevin De Bruyne as a ‘False Nine’. However, things could be different as City is all set to announce a new deal with the striker.
