Real Madrid are planning a shock move for Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic. The Croat was signed from Sevilla in 2014 and since then has been one of the most consistent players for the Catalans. He turned down an offer from The Los Blancos before his move to Barcelona.
Barcelona signed two midfielders, Andre Gomes from Valencia and Denis Suarez, and this could be the reason Madrid is planning to approach him. Rakitic didn’t play in the last match which they lost 4-3 to Celta Vigo.
Juventus is also very keen to rope in the player as gaffer Massimiliano Allegri is a huge admirer of the player. He even tried to sign him when the 28-year-old was in Sevilla.
Juventus sold Paul Pogba to Manchester United and bought Miralem Pjanic from AS Roma to replace him. But the Italian wants to sign someone like Rakitic and is very good at both defending and attacking.
If Juventus manage to sign him he won’t be able to play in the Champions League as he is already cup-tied with Barcelona. However, things could be complicated due to the transfer ban looming.
