Following a superb performance against Real Madrid, Sporting Lisbon winger Gelson Martins is in heavy demand and has garnered interests among a host of clubs including Manchester United and Real Madrid.
The 21 year old gave a spirited performance against the Los Blancos where they eventually went on to lose 2-1. Real Madrid will send scouts to watch the player when Sporting Lisbon will take on Borussia Dortmund in Champions League.
The fact that Ronaldo is not getting any younger, a replacement is on the cards. Fluent in both the wings, the player has a release clause of £54m but his annual salary is a paltry €120k. Manager Jorge Jesus touted him as one of the most promising talents of Portugal, “In Portugal, there is no one like him.”
The Sporting Lisbon academy product, who also has two national caps under his name, is reportedly negotiating a new contract with the Portuguese club.
