Midfield
Burnley plays with an expansive midfield with three central midfielders and the other working as wingers. We expect the bunch to remain same here too, with Jeff Hendrick playing the most central role as the anchor.
He will be supported by Dean Marney and Scott Arfield.
The positions on the wings will be taken by Michael Kightly and Johann Berg Gudmundsson. After Gudmundsson’s brilliant performance against Everton, which also includes a goal, Dyche will be expected similar things from the Iceland forward against United.
Burnley’s midfield has been absolutely crucial for them and they will have to be largely responsible for stopping United’s Mata and Martial and Ibrahimovic. Apart from that, aerial threats that Pogaba and Fellaini brings in a new sort of challenge for Burnley midfielder.
Attack
Although he has scored just 3 goals in 8 appearances so far, Sam Vokes has been the most effective player for Burnley and he will be coming with huge confidence after his goal against Everton.
