Bayern Munich are on the back of good form and they will be looking to extend it when they meet Dutch champion PSV Eindhoven in midweek’s Champions League clash.
Here is the predicted lineup for the record German champions
Goalkeeper: Manuel Neuer will undoubtedly start as the Bayern goalkeeper. Neuer kept five clean sheets so far this season, but in the recent run of fixtures, the German International has failed to produce a clean sheet in five of his last six competitive outings for Bayern. Neuer would look to better his record against PSV by keeping a clean sheet.
Right Back: Retired German International and club captain Philip Lahm is expected to start as the right-back for Bayern. The 32-year old has started his last two consecutive games and will also be a key figure in Bayern’s defense when they travel to Eindhoven.
Right center back: Jerome Boateng’s back to full fitness has been a boon for Carlo Ancelotti. Arguably the best defender in the world, Boateng has also started his past two games for Die Bayern. He will play a crucial role as Carlo Ancelotti look to keep a clean sheet.
Left Center Back: It would be an interesting decision for Ancelotti to choose between three players in Holger Badstuber, Mats Hummels, and Javi Martinez but we can assure that Mats Hummels is starting alongside Boateng in central defense on Tuesday night. The former Dortmund captain was subbed in after Javi Martinez’s suffered a slight niggle in their Bundesliga clash against Augsburg on the weekend.
Left Back: David Alaba will play as the left back against PSV. The Austrian International looked sharp in his past couple of matches and will be looking to produce a good performance once again for the Reds.
