Sevilla and Valencia are reportedly very keen to sign Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The 23-year old’s contract will expire in 2018 and hasn’t been offered a new contract. The midfielder has earlier hinted that he could consider his future if he doesn’t get enough game time. Arsene Wenger handed him a start against Ludogorets and he was on the target as The Gunners thrashed them 6-0.
Arsenal signed the promising winger from Southampton in 2010 but he has failed to live up to the expectations. However, Wenger is confident that the youngster won’t leave the club. “I can understand, but on the other hand, you buy a young player at 17 years of age, you spend a lot of money, then you would like him to stay at the club. I think his place is here. We like him. I personally rate him as a player and I hope that he will show that he can have a stable position in the team until the end of the season.
“This season he has been similar to Walcott. He has not got rewarded yet. But he is in a similar position because he has worked really hard,” he added.
