Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino could be the replacement of Zinedine Zidane if recent reports are to be believed.
Under the guidance of the 44-year-old, Spurs have emerged as a serious contender for the Premier League title. The Argentine manager led the club to a third finish last season. Although Zidane was the main architect behind their Champions League triumph last season, the continuous failure of coming short in the La Liga title could force President Florentino Perez to take some harsh actions.
The Spurs manager was linked with a role at Manchester United after Louis Van Gaal was sacked but eventually Jose Mourinho was appointed. He then went on and signed a new five-year contract in the summer.
Zidane had a heated conversation with Cristiano Ronaldo few days ago during the 2-2 draw with Las Palmas. The Portuguese star was subbed off by the French gaffer and later he also said he was ‘disappointed’ by his decision. However Real could still lure Pochettino to Santiago Bernabeu as he would love to manage a big club like Real Madrid.
