Marseille defender Doria has revealed that he is very happy to be linked with Chelsea but he doesn’t want to lose his focus. Antonio Conte is very keen to add a defender after he failed to land Leonardo Bonucci and Kalidou Koulibaly. The 21-year old has established him in the first team after having a couple of loan stint at Granada and Sao Paulo.
The Brazilian defender has a single cap for his country and is contracted till 2019 with the French club.
Doria said that he is delighted to hear that a club like Chelsea is interested in him but he also made it clear that right now he has to maintain the momentum, “Yes, I heard about it through social media. But I think that I need to continue to do my work.”
“We have played 8 games, I need to continue… I don’t know [if it is true]. I found out about it like you did.” “But that should not stop one from dreaming, they are one of biggest clubs in Europe. I am happy about these rumours, but what is most important is to continue playing well,” he went on to add.
