Jose Mourinho will be very happy as according to some reports Eric Bailly’s injury is not as serious as it seemed earlier. Bailly was seen limping off the ground against Chelsea on Sunday.
The defender had to be substituted and Marcos Rojo replaced him. Mourinho expressed his concern after the match that the injury might be very frightening, “He is injured, I am afraid he is badly injured. In his knee, in the ligament area, he feels that it is really bad.”
United have sufficient reinforcements in their ranks as Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo both can be deployed in the heart of the defence. If Mourinho does play Blind in place of Bailly, Luke Shaw will play on the left side of the defence.
Everyone was assuming that the defender could be out for months but recent scan reports revealed that he will be out for roughly six months.
United will next face Manchester City in a very important EFL Cup fourth round.
