On and off striker Daniel Sturridge could be in his last year with Liverpool. The striker who arrived from Chelsea in 2013 has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur.
Hary Kane is injured for a prolonged period of time and Mauricio Pochettino desperately wants to add an attacker to his side. Spurs have signed Vincent Janssen in the last transfer window but the striker couldn’t do much as he scored only on one occasion despite playing 12 matches in all competitions this season.
The 27 year old’s main problem has been that he is very injury prone. According to Transfermarkt, The striker has suffered at least two injuries in every season from 2012/13. Although Klopp has been deploying Firmino as a false nine but absence of a proper striker could hamper them. Liverpool have been monitoring Torino’s Andrea Belotti, who already has found the net five times and The Merseysiders are preparing to make a bid of £19.5 million.
Sturridge was reportedly very keen to move to Arsenal on loan but Liverpool blocked the move last season around.
