Inter are reportedly preparing a £27m bid for FC Koln left back Jonas Hector. The German was heavily linked with Liverpool earlier.
The 26 year old is a regular in the national team and had a brilliant EURO 2016. Inter were very active in the last transfer window bringing players like Joao Mario and Antonio Candreva.
Jurgen Klopp was very willing to sign the defender as Alberto Moreno failed to impress anyone during his time. James Milner, 30, is currently playing as the makeshift left back as they have no other options. Hector signed a new five-year deal with the German club that will tie him to the club till 2021.
The 26 year old came through the ranks of Koln and has appeared in 139 matches netting four goals for them. The left back who has 24 caps for the defending World Champions emerged as the first choice under Joachim Low. The defender can also be deployed in the midfield and would be a very good addition to any club.
Inter will have to face a stiff competition from Liverpool and Spurs who are also interested in the defender.
