Jozo Simunovic Vs Raffael
Gladbach have a major injury boost ahead of the Celtic game with their best striker Raffael returning from injury. The 31-year-old Brazilian missed a significant part of this season after enjoying a blistering start with six goals from eight games in all competitions.
Raffael has pace, power, skills and a deadly finishing ability and will pose the biggest threat to Celtic defence. After Kolo Toure’s errant display against Gladbach last time out, young Croat Jozo Simunovic has cemented his place at the back alongside Erik Sviatchenko.
The youngster has done an excellent job at the heart of the defence of late and his ability to intercept dangers has been top-notch. We have to wait and see if the Croatian can stop Raffael or not I what could be a crucial battle.
Scott Sinclair Vs Julian Korb
In such a big game, experienced Scott Sinclair will be someone Celtic will rely on to take them to victory. The Englishman has been excellent for the Bhoys this season after his switch from Aston Villa having scored 9 goals from 18 games in all competitions while setting up 3 for his teammates.
The Englishman will have to battle Julian Korb on his flank in order to do damage. Korb is an energetic wing-back who loves to burst forward and with Tierney out injured, Sinclair has to ensure that he tracks back well to protect either Gamboa or Izaguirre, whoever plays at left-back.
