Chelsea are preparing a move for French attacker Antoine Griezmann. The Atletico Madrid forward has been linked with a number of clubs including Manchester United.
Griezmann has a £88million release clause in his contract and Chelsea are willing to meet that. The forward has been in sublime form after having signed from Real Sociedad and has scored 57 times for the past two seasons.
Roman Abramovic has given a go ahead to a squad overhaul after their awful start to the season. Winger Eden Hazard has lost his touch and is yet to fire. Antonio Conte only has Diego Costa and Michy Batshuayi as proper strikers and with the latter contemplating a move to his former club Marseille, Conte has no other option but to go for a new forward.
Chelsea have been also linked with Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and are also planning to bid a world record £60m for Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci.
