Antonio Conte is preparing to make a world record bid for Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci. Chelsea are reportedly ready to pay a whopping £60m to land the defender at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have been long linked with the Italian defender. He played under Conte at Juventus and the Italian national team and is aware of his playing tactics. Despite having signed David Luiz and Marcos Alonso Conte wants to add a more significant player to bolster his defence and Bonucci suits the bill perfectly.
John Terry and Kurt Zouma have been sidelined for a long time and that has hampered Blues progress badly. Bonucci signed a contract extension last year that will keep him at the club till 2020. Juventus reportedly rejected an offer from Manchester City for the centre back.
Chelsea paid an astonishing amount of £50m for David Luiz and it seems that they are ready to break the record again. Chelsea are also contemplating a move for Burnley defender Michael Keane.
