Thiago Silva has confirmed his desire to remain at Paris Saint-Germain. The Brazilian had been holding off a contract talk for a long time but it seems he has made up his mind for an extension.
The defender’s contract is due to expire at the end of this season who has been injured for a long period. It is being reported that in Silva’s contract there is a clause that if PSG make to the Champions League, which they are likely to, a year will automatically be added to his contract.
The defender has been the subject of interest from Chelsea who want the 32-year old to join his former PSG teammate David Luiz. Antonio Conte has been searching a defender for a long time and the Brazilian fits the bill perfectly.
Silva said, “But I’m happy here, I want to stay, extend my contract. We need to talk with the president to know what we will do in the future.”
Juventus are also interested in bringing the footballer to Italy. Club director Beppe Marotta said that they are very keen on the player, “Thiago Silva is an exceptional player and I don’t know what PSG’s intentions are for the future.”
