Chelsea must sign Thorgan Hazard before December 31 or could lose the right to sign him for the stipulated fee. The younger Hazard moved to Borussia Monchengladbach in 2014 on loan and in 2015, the German club signed him permanently from Chelsea.
Chelsea reportedly have a buyback clause in the contract and will have to pay £13m if they want to re-sign him. The Belgian has been in red hot form and already scored seven goals in this season. Chelsea will send scouts to watch the player when the German side will travel to Leipzig. The Blues sold the player for a paltry £6.8m.
The 23-year-old has made it clear that right now he is enjoying his stay in Germany and doesn’t want to lose his focus, “I’ve signed a long-term deal and I am only focused on Borussia. I feel good here, and am currently not thinking about any other club.
“I play up front a bit more, and also in a more central position It’s normal I score more goals,” he added.
