Barcelona are reportedly scouting Atletico Madrid attacker Yannick Carrasco. Barcelona technical director Roberto Fernandez was present at the Vicente Calderon during Atleti’s Champions League match against Bayern Munich. Atletico won the match 1-0 with the solitary goal scored by the Belgian.
The winger was signed by Atleti in 2015 and has played 43 matches in his first season with the Spanish team, finding the net 5 times. In the ongoing season, he has appeared in eight matches and scored the all important goal against Bayern.
The versatile winger has earlier been linked with the Catalans but they decided to sign Paco Alcacer instead of him. Carrasco made his debut for Belgium in March 2015. He scored the all important goal against Real Madrid in the Champions League final but eventually they lost the game.
The pacey winger has a release clause of £34m and that shouldn’t be a problem for Barcelona. With Neymar and Lionel Messi already in the team though, it’s a problem where he’ll start.
