Barcelona are planning a shock move for Manchester United right-back Matteo Darmian. Darmian has been struggling to get into the starting eleven as Jose Mourinho prefers Antonio Valencia over the Italian.
Barcelona were reportedly willing to sign him this past summer but United rejected the move. The right back arrived in 2015 from Torino but has featured in only one match that too in United’s 1-0 loss against Feyenoord in Europa League.
Barcelona signed Aleix Vidal from Sevilla after Dani Alves choose to join Juventus but the Spaniard has failed to live up to the expectations. Gaffer Luis Enrique has shifted Sergi Roberto to the right side and he has done pretty well in the current season.
Barcelona had been linked with Hector Bellerin earlier. The La Masia product is a regular in the Arsenal starting lineup but the Gunners’ evaluation of the player could make it tough for even Barcelona to sign the future star.
Inter Milan are reportedly ready to take the out-of-favour Darmian on loan with an option to buy him permanently, so Barcelona won’t have it easy considering the fact that Darmian will favour a move back to his homeland.
