Arsenal will face Middlesbrough as their next assignment in the Premier League this weekend after their Champions League win against Ludogorets in the midweek. The Gunners have been in fine form winning their last 6 games in the league while Boro have lost 4 of their last 5. Given the current form, it would be too much of an ask for the riverside club to gain something out of the Gunners at the Emirates but football never seizes to amaze us.
There has been plenty of instances in the past especially against Arsenal, where the Gunners dropped points despite being overwhelming favourites. Thus, manager Arsene Wenger won’t be taking anything for granted and let’s take a look at the 3 players he would be keeping an eye on so that they are not able to influence and inspire their team to cause an upset on Saturday.
Cristhian Stuani
The Uruguayan has been one of the key players for Middlesbrough so far scoring three goals for his team in the league. Stuani is a player who has some good skills and manages to find himself in the right areas in the right moments causing his opposition problems.
The attacking midfielder has got an eye for goal and is also strong aerially and being stationed at the right side of the attacking trio of Boro just in behind the striker, Stuani would be eyeing the left-hand channel of the Gunners, where Nacho Monreal doesn’t get a whole lot of protection from his winger, to make effective inroads during the game.
