Arsenal side back Kieran Gibbs has said that he is unhappy about the first half performances against Ludogorets. Arsenal thrashed the Bulgarian team 6-0 at The Emirates with Mesut Ozil scoring his first hat trick for the gunners.
Arsene Wenger decided to rest Nacho Monreal and gave a rare start to Kieran Gibbs. Ludogorets dominated a large part of the first half as they often created troubles for the Arsenal back four.
Gibbs admitted that they were very unhappy as the visitors almost scored a goal in the first half. “I think to be honest the score only reflected the second-half performance, To be fair to them I think they are a good team and they can play. We have got to be careful when we go there in a couple of weeks time, because it will be a tough test for us”, he stated.
Arsenal scored two goals in the first half and displayed a more attacking intent scoring four more goals in the latter half. “We spoke at half-time because we wanted to change something. I don’t think there was too much wrong, I just felt that we gave the ball away a bit too easily in the first half.
“Our quality came out in the second half and we came out a different team. We found our groove a bit more in the final third. We connected a bit better as a team and the goals came thick and fast in the end,” he signed off.
