Arsene Wenger is aware of their bizarre form in the November month and said that the upcoming month will be crucial if they want to stay in the title hunt.
Arsenal are currently placed second on the Premier League table with 23 points, after defeating Sunderland 4-1. Olivier Giroud registered his name on the scoresheet as he scored a brace on his return from a long injury layoff.
In November Arsenal will first face Tottenham Hotspur following a trip to Old Trafford where the French gaffer will go head to head with Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United. After that, they will take on Paris Saint-Germain that will virtually decide who is going to top the group in the Champions League.
Last year Arsenal had seen some awful results in the period. They first lost to Bayern Munich 5-1 and then drew with Spurs and Norwich City and last but not the least tasted a defeat against West Bromwich Albion.
Wenger said, “We have a great togetherness and we have quality as well, so they are good ingredients, but we have to show that we can do it week in, week out,” he said. “This win [at Sunderland] strengthens our belief that we can bounce back from the disappointing result we had last week and that we can also bounce back within a game when it doesn’t go our way.
“We now have a difficult November. By the end of the November we’ll know more about ourselves.
“I believe we are more mature than previous seasons, yes, but that’s what we want to show over a longer distance, and that’s what is at stake.”
“Overall I believe it can convince the team that we’re playing the right way.”
