Crystal Palace will host Liverpool, the most in-form team in the Premier League at the moment, on Saturday at Selhurst Park. They have a history of stunning the Reds and have done it time and time again, mostly in the last few years.
The worldwide fanbase of Liverpool will be a bit nervous for the game and that is quite understandable. However, with the kind of form the Reds are in right now, they should not face too much pf a problem against alan Pardew’s side.
Crystal Palace’s form this season has been quite up and down. They started the season on a poor note but a five-game unbeaten streak took them to the top half. However, their joy was short-lived as they lost both of their last two games and are now 11th on the table.
The Eagles are on the back of a 3-1 loss against Leicester City from last week after West Ham upset them 1-0 at Selhurst Park in the previous gameweek. Alan Pardew’s boys will be up for a battle against Liverpool and will fancy their chance of upsetting the mighty Merseyside club once again.
Here is the predicted Crystal Palace lineup against Liverpool.
Defence
Steve Mandanda will start between the sticks ahead of Welsh international Wayne Hennessey. Joel Ward is likely to continue in the right-back position.
Crystal Palace’s best defender and club captain Scott Dann will return to the starting XI for the crucial game after his comeback from injury.
James Tomkins will keep his place at the heart of the defence pairing up with Dann. Martin Kelly will start at left-back with Pape Souare injured on a long-term after hurting himself in a nasty car crash.
