Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic sarcastically told his agent Mino Raiola he would break his legs if midfielder Paul Pogba moved to any other club. Raiola happens to be the same agent of Zlatan and Pogba.
Paul Pogba moved to Manchester United from Juventus for a world record fee of £89m. The 23-year-old was initially struggling to find his form but in the last match against Leicester City, he was brilliant throughout the game and also adjudged the man of the match. Another Raiola client Henrik Mkhitaryan was also signed in favour of Manchester United.
“Zlatan told me, ‘Do not transfer Pogba elsewhere or I will break your legs,” Raiola said.
Jose Mourinho has tried to fit Pogba in various places. He even tried him at the no 10 position but eventually started him in the midfield in the last match alongside Ander Herrera. Raiola said that Pogba has to work hard to find an ideal position which suits him best. “Pogba still has to find his place in the team.”
He thinks that Mourinho should deploy him just behind the striker. “My preferred position for him is left attacking midfielder. With his power, stamina and technique. Pogba would be unplayable in that role. But Mourinho takes the decisions.”
