Former France Striker Christophe Dugarry thinks that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has lost his plot. United have succumbed to three back to back defeats under Mourinho.
The former French striker believes that Mourinho is now a shadow of his past. “I get the feeling Mourinho’s last tactical success was that Champions League game between Inter Milan and Barcelona [in 2010],”Dugarry said.
‘He’s won titles since, but I think he’s lost the plot. He believes he has become more important than the team.
Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea last season and Guus Hiddink took the charge as a caretaking manager.
Duggary had won the World Cup with France in 1998 and had brief stints with Barcelona and Bordeaux. He went on to add,”Tactically, I think he doesn’t put anything in place. Apart from the players, who have changed, it’s the same organisation as last season under [Louis] Van Gaal.”
“He always blames the referee or their opponents’ good fortune. There is no self-criticism.”
United will face Northampton in a League Cup third round fixture tomorrow.
