Tottenham striker Harry Kane could miss up to two months after suffering an ankle injury on Sunday against Sunderland. Kane scored the only goal of the match as Spurs defeated Sunderland.
Kane was trying to tackle Sunderland player Papy Djilobodji and awkwardly twisted his ankle. He left the field wearing crutches although the first scan revealed that there was no fracture.
Kane had just started getting some form after going through the entire August period without scoring. The injury will come as a massive blow as they have some important fixtures coming up.
Spurs had signed Vincent Janssen from AZ Alkmaar but the striker is yet to score his first goal for the club. In this two-month period Kane will be out, he will miss three very important games against current table toppers Manchester City, Leicester City and Arsenal. He is also in doubt for the much anticipated World Cup qualifier against Scotland on November 11.
