Watford travel to the Turf Moor to face Sean Dyche’s Burnley and the Hornets would be a buzzing as they gear up to face their next opponent after a major early season upset over Manchester United. Sean Dyche might have been pretty confident hosting his former side a week ago but now Watford will be feeling they can take on anybody. Truth be told, they were indeed looking good over their matches with the exception of the 1st half against Arsenal and they deserved a big win at some point and what better way than to upset the odds against United. The tie between the two will also have a historical significance in itself with the match scheduled to be the first ever top-flight match between the two clubs- Burnley and Watford.
Although they defeated the Red Devils, the players have to keep their feet firmly on the ground as they need to improve to attain the difficult target of bettering their last year’s league finish.
Watford have a poor record away at Burnley, they have not won in their last eight attempts, losing four and drawing four. The Hornets have scored three or more goals in consecutive games in the Premier League for the first time. They now sit 9th and will be working towards remaining in the top ten for as long as possible.
T4O’s PREDICTED WATFORD LINE-UP VS BURNLEY (3-5-2)
DEFENCE
Heurelho Gomes will be given the duty beneath the crossbar and the goalkeeper will have to be up to the task in what will be a very gettable 3 points for the visiting side. There are doubts over summer signing Younes Kaboul which could likely see the three man defence consist of Cathcart, Prodl and Britos. They will be aware of the threat posed by Burnley and will be confident of keeping a clean sheet especially in the absence of Andre Gray. Holebas will be at left full-back while Amrabat is expected to line-up at right full-back with Janmaat injured.
MIDFIELD
Etienne Capoue is in astonishing goal scoring form right now and will venture forward at every given opportunity. His physicality will also help in administering midfield control along with Behrami alongside him. They will play an important part in turning over the ball to the advanced players from the midfield and will look to be sharp and incisive with it.
ATTACK
Roberto Pereyra has settled in well and will be relishing the opportunity to go at the Burnley defence who have conceded 3 goals on two different occasions now. He will look to strike up a partnership with the strike-force duo of Ighalo and Deeney.
