Burnley will be looking to get over their chastening defeat at the hands of Chelsea when they welcome Hull City to the Turf Moor Stadium. They suffered a loss in their first match against Swansea City but shook the Premier League after earning a shocking but deserved victory against Liverpool as they blanked them 2-0 at home. With the spirits soaring and a spring in their steps they headed to the Stamford Bridge only to be rudely brought down to Earth after being outclassed 3-0 by the Blues. But Sean Dyche and his boys got a couple of weeks to regroup and will be raring to go when the Premier League commences on Saturday. They will be facing the surprise package of the season so far in Hull City, who have defied all notions till now and have performed above their expectations. From being relegation favourites to being a team difficult to beat, as Manchester United will vouch for, they have turned the tide pretty fast.
Saturday will throw up a tight affair and both teams will be sensing an opportunity to bag 3 points. And with the intense and elevated standard of competition this time around, in matches such as these a defeat is a strict no-no from the management and due to this sometimes a draw is something which usually suffices in the end. Either way, the supporters will be ready to witness a tight, if not a slightly low-key affair at the Turf Moor.
PREDICTED BURNLEY LINE-UP AGAINST HULL CITY (4-4-2)
DEFENCE
Tom Heaton will be in goal and will have to be alert during the set-pieces as Hull possess added threat from dead ball situations. Matthew Lowton will be hoping to continue at right-back with a centre-back pairing of Ben Mee and Michael Keane. Michael Keane, in particular, will be looking to impress this season after being billed for big things in the future. They will be joined by Stephen Ward at left-back.
MIDFIELD
George Boyd is expected to line-up at right midfield with Scott Arfield on the opposite side. The centre midfield pairing is expected to go through a change with new signing Jeff Hendricks expected to come in at the expense of Dean Marney. He will be paired most likely with Steven Defour.
ATTACK
The usual suspects up top will again be handed the task of providing the goals. And after an expected minor blip at Chelsea, Sam Vokes and Andre Gray will be looking to restart their potent partnership.
